Tick & Flea Prevention

In our humid warm climate, Parasites like ticks, fleas and lice thrive. We give detailed advice for the eradication and prevention of the parasites.

One way we can help to keep our animals fit and well is to ensure that they are not aggravated by parasitic infestations. External Parasites are not just a minor irritation to dogs and cats as they can be the cause of serious skin infections and are responsible for the transmission of many diseases. In extreme cases they can be a cause of severe anaemia in the animal.

Ticks, fleas and lice can spread from one dog to another. They can infest the house and lay eggs in the cracks and crevices in the furniture. These eggs give rise to future generations of the parasites and the cycle continues.

It is important to get rid of the Parasites as quickly as possible. There are many preparations in the market to assist in this task and deal with both the animal and the home (if that is also required because of a bad infestation). They include a variety of sprays or spot on drops that are absorbed through the skin. A veterinarian will always give good advice on the preparation to suit your animal.
